Surveying
Siegfried Engineering has been providing quality survey services for 50 years.
The firm strives to meet the needs of our clients by using cutting edge equipment
and training our staff to use the equipment effectively. Using Global Positioning
System (GPS) equipment, SEI can perform surveying tasks quickly and with a high
degree of accuracy. SEI recognizes that technology is important however it is no
replacement for experience. Experienced staff are able to easily determine what
equipment to use and can work efficiently with one-person, two-person, or
three-person crews. Specifically, SEI's surveyors offer vast experience in the
following areas:

The Sanctuary Swamp and Overland Flow Study
The land underlying the Sanctuary development was unsurveyed swamp and overflow
lands when California joined the United States in 1850. The state proceeded to
sell this property through the Swamp and Overflowed Lands Act. There were 16
separate S&O surveys completed between 1860 and 1880 that eventually passed
the title to probate ownership. This remapping and boundary analysis project
identified the gaps and overlaps in the S&O surveys to ascertain if any lands
remained under state ownership. None were discovered.
City of Stockton Control Network
Under contract to the City of Stockton, SEI was the lead team member to complete
a control densification survey. Approximately 250 control points were established
in 1993 and 1994 by static GPS observations and 2nd order traversing techniques.
This control network is the basis for the City wide GIS system and the required
geodetic tie in for all Parcel and Subdivision maps.
