Siegfried Engineering

El Dorado Street

Siegfried is providing civil, landscape, and surveying services for the improvements along 5,400 LF of El Dorado Street. Elements include improvements to the median, curb, gutter, and sidewalk, and replacement of drainage facilities. The objective of the project is to resolve traffic deficiencies, accommodate future volumes, and address community concerns regarding appearance. At the heart of the project are sustainable elements blended perfectly with low maintenance and low water designs. Not only is the irrigation system utilizing AB-1881 compliant drip systems, it utilizes a new two-wire valve control system. One unique element is the use of granite cobblestone the City had stockpiled throughout the years. The stone was originally used as ballast material in ships that would come to port over 100 years ago, and is now recycled as tree planter enhancements.
