Anthony J. Lopes, P.E., S.E.

Anthony (Tony) Lopes brings versatility and vision to the management of both civil and structural components of a project. His skill assures effective interface between disciplines, and efficient advancement on behalf of each client. Mr. Lopes' extensive structural experience includes the design of commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential buildings, seismic retrofit of unreinforced brick masonry buildings, seawall structures, and equipment supports for the food processing industry. He also conducts structural forensic investigations of damaged buildings for the insurance industry. His civil engineering experience has included the design of commercial and industrial site improvements, residential subdivisions, domestic water and storm drain pump stations, and educational site facilities.

Mr. Lopes has been licensed as a civil engineer in California since 1985 and as a structural engineer since 2002. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from California State University, Fresno (1980), where he earned the distinction of membership in the Tau Beta Pi National Engineering Honor Society.

Joining Siegfried Engineering in 1985, Mr. Lopes served as manager of the firm's Tracy Branch Office until 1991 and became a Principal of the company in 1996. He had previously worked with Bechtel Power Corporation in San Francisco for five years as a structural engineer. Mr. Lopes is a member of the Structural Engineers Association of California, the American Society of Civil Engineers, and the American Concrete Institute.

Mr. Lopes invests in the community's future by volunteering his time for various high school activities, and as an active member of Kiwanis International.
